The device has two cross-pieces (2) arranged on a base (1) to form a cross, and a vertical bar (3) resting on a part of the cross-pieces. A spline (4) is arranged on the vertical bar, and is parallel to the base or inclined downwards to allow the spline to grip a corner of one of the cross-pieces. The bar is divisible at its base and has a width equal to or less than one fourth of the cross-pieces, where width of the cross-pieces is variable based on size of a joint between tiles. A screw thread forms a perforation (5) at the center of the device.
