The method involves modifying one element of a status of a carrier by a sensor in a temporally synchronous manner with a passage of the carrier, where the status of the carrier provides information about presence or absence of a passenger, information on a guard rail, image of the passenger, total weight of the passenger, lateral balancing value, and specific identification of the passenger. The status is coded in computerized manner in a database. An independent claim is also included for a system for implementing a chair lift type carrier status managing method.
