The transductor has quasi-static magnetic field transmitting or receiving coils (50-52), which are pseudo-concentric, where magnetic center of one of the coils is shifted with respect to another coil and the displacement between the magnetic centers of the coils is equal to 1 millimeter. The coils are placed perpendicular with respect to each other and parallel to orthonormal distance axes (60-62). Turns of the coils are placed around a core (56), where the core is made of ferromagnetic and dielectric material such as ferrite. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining a position of a transductor.
