The device has a mechanical actuating unit including a reduction mechanism with a pinion (17) and a toothed wheel (4), at an outlet of an electric actuator (1) i.e. electric motor. A transformation mechanism i.e. ball nut/screw type mechanism, transforms a rotational movement provided by the actuator in a reduction mechanism's outlet to a translation movement applied to a movable element i.e. electric parking brake cable (20). The transformation mechanism has irreversibility unit to maintain force on the element without introducing electrical energy when the element is in stabilized phase.
