The plant has a metal fitting shop (2), a paint shop (3) and an assembling shop (4) located on a closed terrain (10), and built-up areas (1) respectively associated to the shops. The built-up areas are located on the terrain, and are regrouped in a central part of the terrain. The shops extend towards a periphery of the terrain from the built-up areas. The metal fitting shop is located opposite to the paint shop regardless of the areas. The assembling shop is simultaneously located opposite to the metal fitting shop and the paint shop regardless of the areas. An independent claim is also included for a method for enlarging a manufacturing of a motor vehicle.
