The device has a primary coil (6) fixed to fluid container (1) near a fluid supply orifice (2) for being traversed by a metal penetration tube (4b) of a fluid supply nozzle (4). An electrical control and measuring circuit (7) supplies the primary coil in a manner to generate electromagnetic waves in an inner space of the primary coil. Detection units (8) are sensitive to a current or voltage waveform appeared in the primary coil, and distinguish a presence and type of the fluid supply nozzle based on the current or voltage waveform in the primary coil.
