Gear box testing method for motor vehicle, involves transmitting torque to input shaft of gear box to apply rotational movement to electric machine and releasing torque to successively engage demultiplication ratios to be tested
The method involves coupling a sleeve mounted on a shaft (11), by friction, to a synchronization ring, where the ring is removed under action of torque produced by the sleeve to permit the sleeve to be engaged in an idle pinion mounted on the shaft in a synchronization phase. An electric machine (12) transmits a torque to an input shaft (8) of a gear box (9) to apply a rotational movement to the machine and releases the torque to successively engage demultiplication ratios to be tested, where the gear box is at dead point.
