PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope for shortening a connection part of a bending section and a flexible section and easily connecting the bending section and the flexible section; a connection method of the flexible section and the bending section in the endoscope; a production method of the endoscope provided with this connection method; an endoscope overtube for shortening the connection part of the bending section and flexible section and easily connecting the bending section and the flexible section; a connection method of the flexible section and the bending section in the endoscope overtube; a connection method of the flexible section and the bending section in the endoscope overtube; and a production method of the endoscope overtube provided with this connection method.;SOLUTION: The endoscope 1 includes: the bending section 40 formed to be bendable; the flexible section 20 directly coupled to the bending section 40 by fitting a distal end 20a into a node ring 51 placed on the most proximal end side of the bending section 40; an operation wire 90 for operating the bending section 40; and a wire guide part 91 for guiding the operation wire 90 inserted into the flexible section 20 to the bending section 40 in the flexible section 20.
