PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket library for a monitor that enables the communication data of a certain process A to be easily shared by other processes through a socket API. PSOLUTION: A gateway device has a socket library for a monitor such that the content of communication of a certain application can be shared by a plurality of other applications. The gateway device includes a shared memory space provided in the socket library; a socket-to-be-connected management part provided in the shared memory space for storing the socket to be connected to of an owner process; a process management part provided in the shared memory space for sending and receiving the owner process and a monitor process; a connected socket managing unit provided in the shared memory space for storing connected sockets; a session management part for storing communication sessions; and a message management part for storing the communication data actually sent and received.
