PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment system which can realize advantageous effects, for example, easy operation-maintenance management with saved energy, low equipment cost and operation cost, a significant reduction in the amount of sludge formation by conducting (non-chemical feed) coagulation sedimentation of wastewater utilizing an aquatic bioorganism group without use of any coagulant and conducting (non-aeration) aerobic biological treatment of wastewater without any aeration. PSOLUTION: This water treatment system is characterized by comprising an agitation chamber in which coagulation sedimentation treatment of wastewater is carried out using a microorganism film of, for example, algae or bacteria as an existent flock, which functions as a nucleus of coagulation, that is, as a coagulation host, without use of any coagulant, and, further, aerobic biological treatment of wastewater is carried out utilizing oxygen released from algae or bacteria without any aeration. Further, for example, there is provided a water treatment system characterized in that a coagulation host such as algae or bacteria and activated sludge is selectively drawn from sedimented sludge by a pump or the like and is then repeatedly utilized.
