PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the content of water in a dehydrated organic waste, which can be effectively utilized as an energy source and further can be effectively utilized as a fuel for a cement burning equipment, by reducing the content of water in a dehydrated organic waste containing excreta of domestic animals or food wastes, and to provide a method for converting an organic waste having low water content to a fuel, a biomass fuel and an equipment for reducing the content of water in a dehydrated organic waste. PSOLUTION: The method for reducing the content of water in a dehydrated organic waste comprises introducing a dehydrated cake C containing excreta of domestic animals or food wastes onto a mesh 32 in a water content reducing equipment 31 to allow water contained in the dehydrated cake C to leach from the mesh 32 and thus to dehydrate the dehydrated cake C, whereby a dehydrated cake C' having a low water content is provided.
