PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorbing structure capable of obtaining low-pitched sound absorbing characteristics by using a small-sized sound absorbing panel.;SOLUTION: The sound absorbing panels 10-1 and 10-2 are each composed of a panel body. In each of the sound absorbing panels 10-1 and 10-2, a plurality of cavities 20 and 26 are arranged behind its front. Ends of the cavities 20 and 26 are opened in the side end surfaces of the sound absorbing panels 10-1 and 10-2, respectively. Openings 22 and 24 communicating with the cavities 20 and 26 are formed in the front surfaces of the sound absorbing panels 10-1 and 10-2, respectively. Side end surfaces 10a and 10b of the sound absorbing panels 10-1 and 10-2 butt against each other, so that the cavities 20 and 26 can be connected to each other.
