PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scale for visual checking, which can correctly set a cutting dimension of an object to be cut by a cutting dimension setting means even if a deviation occurs between a displayed value by markings of a display means and an actual cutting dimension, and to provide a cutting device having the scale for visual checking.;SOLUTION: In operation of the cutting device, a slicing thickness t is set by turning a dial 55, and an interval (actual dimension) between a cutter blade 41 and a mounting table 5 is checked with eyes by the scale 3 for visual checking. Therefore, even if a driving transmission means or the like of the cutting dimension setting means goes out of order due to aged deterioration etc., and the dial markings 57 do not correctly display a value that is proportional to the slicing thickness t, the desired slicing thickness t can be positively set.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
