PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a television conference which is rich in presence.;SOLUTION: A television conference apparatus to be used for a television conference system includes: at least one or more display devices installed in such a way that a screen is located in front of conference participants; a conference image receiving section for receiving one or more conference image information items as information indicating an image of the conference outputted from another television conference apparatus; a display image constituting section for constituting a longitudinally long image for display, respectively, using one or more conference image information items received by the conference image receiving section; a display section for displaying each of the one or more images constituted by the display image constituting section on the longitudinally long screen of the display device; a photographing section which is installed at a position where the approximately entire front of participants can be photographed, and photographs images of the conference; a conference image receiving section for constituting the conference image information from the image photographed by the photographing section: and an output section for outputting the conference image information constituted by the conference image receiving section.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
