PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coal burning boiler that makes it possible to reduce the height of the boiler and shorten the period of construction.;SOLUTION: This coal burning boiler is characterized by including: a first-stage furnace in which a combustion gas generated by burning coal and air ascends; a second-stage furnace in which the combustion gas supplied from the first-stage furnace flows downward in its inside; and a rear heat transfer part in which the combustion gas supplied from the second furnace flows upward.
