PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide highly transparent glass capable of being effectively restrained in generation of NiS at the time of melting a glass raw material, and to provide a method of manufacturing the highly transparent glass.;SOLUTION: This highly transparent glass plate is a soda-lime silicate glass plate containing whole iron oxide in terms of 0.02 mass% Fe₂O₃, and contains 0.006-2.0 mass% zinc oxide.
