PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-line long wire working line in which no environmental problems occur, or any mechanical properties of the long wire are not degraded.;SOLUTION: The long wire working line comprises a lubricant removing device for removing a drawing lubricant film adhered to the surface of the long wire, a tension adjusting device for keeping the constant tension in the wire located before or behind the lubricant removing device, and a winding machine for winding the wire from which the lubricant is removed by the lubricant removing device. In the lubricant removing device, one or a plurality of kinds of grinding materials are mixed and filled in a flexible pipe, and the lubricant film is removed by the contact with the grinding materials or the like by locally applying the intermittent pressure to a plurality of parts from the outside of the flexible pipe when passing the drawn wire through the flexible pipe.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
