PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a library information management system that allows a user to obtain any desired material simply by reserving it once and to receive the material at the nearest library, while also allowing library personnel to easily perform processes for lending and returning materials.;SOLUTION: To manage materials possessed separately by a plurality of libraries, the material that can be lent earliest, among the materials possessed by the plurality of libraries, is specified on the basis of the library that is to receive a catalog of materials and the material both of which are designated by the user. Information about the specified material to be lent, the library that possesses the material, and the library at which the user is to receive the material is registered in a reservation management database common to the plurality of libraries as reservation data for a request to hold the material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
