The present invention provides a method for proliferating male germline stem cells, comprising culturing male germline stem cells in a medium containing FGF. By using the method of the present invention, it becomes possible to proliferate male germline stem cells stably and efficiently, regardless of differences in animal species. Further, by using the method of the present invention, it becomes possible to proliferate male germline stem cells stably and efficiently without being influenced by the age difference of the animal from which the testicular cells are derived, and particularly from testicular cells of prenatal animals. It becomes possible to establish male germline stem cells with high efficiency.
