PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a monitoring system convenient to observe the inside of a paired-substrate working unit when the paired-substrate working unit is monitored.;SOLUTION: An actual image to be imaged is acquired by imaging devices 24, 36 existing in the paired-substrate working unit 1 (230). Supplementing information for supplementing the understanding of the actual image is formed (222). The acquired actual image and the supplementing information are displayed on one screen of display devices 172, 248, and the screen is observed and monitored. As the supplementing information, a virtual image showing an object to be imaged or the normal state of the other object to be connected to the object to be imaged is formed, superposed on the actual image and displayed. The monitoring screen is enabled to be observed by a monitoring unit 210 existing at a place separate from the working unit 1.
