PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confocal scanning microscope constituted so that a three-dimensional picture being easy to be recognized by an observer can be displayed, the picture display method of the confocal scanning type microscope and a recording medium obtained by recording a processing program for executing picture display processing. ;SOLUTION: The luminance information (p) [(i), (j)] of a pixel whose light quantity is the maximum as to the identical-coordinate pixels of plural sliced pictures with respect to a sample 4 and the height information (h) [(i), (j)] of a stage 5 are detected. Then, the height information (z) [(x), (y)] of the display time of the three-dimensional picture is set based on the height information (h) of every pixel position [(x), (y)] and the color information (c) [(x), (y), (z)] of the display time of the three-dimensional picture assigned by the information (p) is set so as to be displayed at a display part 10 as the three- dimensional display picture.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
