METHOD FOR IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF A GROWING ANIMAL, KIT SUITABLE FOR IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF A GROWING ANIMAL, MEANS OF COMMUNICATION OF INFORMATION, AND USE OF A COMPOSITION. The present invention provides methods for improving the quality of life of a growing animal by feeding the animal a quality of life enhancing amount of a composition comprising about 10 wt% protein, about 4 wt% fat, and about 0.05% by weight of at least one omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid. Improved quality of life is shown by an improvement in one or more selected features of the group consisting of trainability, cognitive function, motor skill coordination or agility, retinal development, cartilage protection, muscle mass maintenance, and skin and coat quality.
