A METHOD TO ADDRESS SERVER REDUNDANCY IN MULTI LEVEL LOAD SERVER ENVIRONMENT IN IP NETWORK

The present invention in general relates to the field of communication entworks and in particular it relates to multi-level load server applications. The invention describes a method to address middle server redundancy in multi-level load server environment. The method described is to have in the session table for an incoming entry, reference to an index in the server IP (INTERNET-PROTOCOL) TABLE. The server IP table sgtores the IPs of the middle servers. The index points to a server IP table. The source IP shall be set to Zero for outgoing engtry. for outgoing entries, key is assigned as four-tuple with source IP set to zero. This makes the outgoing entry independent of the source IP of middle servers. This can be further extended to support load distribution to multiple servers.
