The machine (1) has a drive shaft (7) connected with a knife (9) that is connected to an electric motor shaft, where the knife performs a rotating motion around the drive shaft. A middle part is placed centrally on the drive shaft and is arranged perpendicular to the drive shaft. Ends of central parts are connected with ends of oblique end sections of an electric motor. The knife is connected to a cylinder wall of a sample holder. A lateral plane is formed in the knife at the height of 2 millimeters. An independent claim is also included for a method for mixing soil samples.
