A method for treating or renewing textile articles in a household appliance that has at least one detergency stage, the method comprising the steps of: (a) in said household appliance, washing a load of textile articles in the presence of a predominant fluid and at the less a cleaning composition comprising a surfactant; (b) in said domestic apparatus, at least partially removing said cleaning composition and at least partially removing said predominant fluid from said tissue load; (c) in said domestic apparatus, at least one step of treating said load of textile articles with a tissue renewing composition in the presence of a lipophilic fluid as defined in the test methods herein, wherein the lipophilic cleaning fluid it is at least partially liquid at atmospheric pressures and at least a temperature in the range of 0 ° C to 60 ° C and is at least partially a solvent for body soils, and wherein the lipophilic cleaning fluid is used in the presence of an adjuvant selected from the group consisting in perfumes, perfume precursors, brighteners, antibacterial agents, antistatic agents, fabric softeners, non-fabric softener touch modifiers and mixtures thereof; (d) in said domestic appliance, removing said lipophilic cleaning fluid from said textile articles; and (e) optionally recover said lipophilic cleaning fluid.
