It is believed that the tenants or owners of multi-residential buildingswithoutindividual meters on their main resources typically consume more electricity,water and gas than those who pay a separate bill for their consumed resources.This invention is related to the sub-metering of Electricity, Gas and Waterconsumption of each individual unit in multi-residential and commercialbuildings.In this invention, the water meter, electricity meter, thermometer, signalbooster,and the Data Receiver are each uniquely designed to be small, accurate,powerful, easy to install and user interface free. These newly redesignedapparatuses continuously communicate amongst each other through the use ofRadio frequencies and Broad band over Power Line signals. The combinations ofthese apparatus gather the sub-metered data and transmit it to a remote webbased application in a secure and reliable environment via the Internet. Thesub--metering of gas in this invention is based on the metered data of thebuilding'sand each unit's heating systems (hot water & air conditioning). This inventionprovides a powerful tool for owners and tenants of each unit to control theconsumption of these three major resources inside their buildings/units andpayonly for the cost of the resources they had consumed. The cost distributionbased on the real and accurate data is at the heart of this invention and thewebapplication of this invention derives and calculates the monthly cost of eachindividual unit based on the live metered and measured data.The technical field of the mentioned application is Process and Control.
