PIECE OF WINTER SPORTS EQUIPMENT COMPRISING TWO SIDE-BY-SIDE RUNNERS AND A PLATE THAT IS ARRANGED THEREABOVE AND SUPPORTS THE ATHLETE

Disclosed is a piece of winter sports equipment comprising to side-by-side runners and a plate that is arranged thereabove and supports the athlete. Such previously known pieces of sports equipment (ski sled, monoski) have the disadvantage that the structure, especially the mechanism for transducing the swiveling movement of the supporting plate to the sliding runners, is technically too complex, particularly compared with simple and robust snowboards. The aim of the invention is to build said pieces of winter sports equipment in a simple and robust manner. Said aim is achieved by reducing the device which transduces the swiveling movement to a paired arrangement of only two components, i.e. two angular supports. The supporting plate is used as a lever, the forces acting in opposite directions onto the supports (that are laterally displaced relative to each other) being transmitted to both sliding runners when said level is swiveled such that the sliding runners follow the swiveling movement of the supporting plate. The inventive device is particularly suitable as a piece of sports equipment which allows turning on ski slopes (embodiment to be used in a standing position) and sledding runs (sled-type embodiments).
