The invention relates to solar engineering. The inventive solar collector, which comprises a closed enclosure and an absorber (5) with channels for liquid heat carrier, is designed in the form a cylindrical surface having a radius R1 and an axis coinciding with the axis of the central cylindrical surface (1) of the enclosure. The absorber (5) consists of thin-walled interconnected modules. The modules are provided with bulges on the rear side thereof, in which channels with slots are made for arranging pipes forming heat carrier flowing channels. In addition, the absorber can be designed in the form of an accumulator tank. The shape of the collector is optimised in such a way that the axes of two lateral cylindrical surfaces (2) thereof are remote at a distance L and the central cylindrical surface (1) is remote as much as possible from a plane (3) tangent to the lateral cylindrical surfaces (2) at a distance H having the defined ratio of geometric parameters. The enclosure of the solar collector is made from a sheet of one- or multi-layer polymer material by placing a guiding cylinder therein, in heating said polymer material to a softening point and in bending it about the cylinder in such a way that the lateral cylindrical surfaces (2) are formed.
