A method for the multimedia broadcast multicast service access under the long time evolution architecture. The method includes: the BM-SC sends the session starting notify to the MBMS GW (402); the MBMS GW allocates the user interface resource and the IP multicast address and sends the session starting notify to the MCE (S404); the MCE processes a coordination decision of wireless resource and sends the session starting notify to the e-Node B (S406); the e-Node B joins the multicast group (S408).
