The steam turbine system (2) has two low-pressure partial turbines (14, 16), which are disposed directly behind each other on a common shaft (4) and form a low-pressure stage (10) and rest on a ground foundation (18). Each turbine has one horizontal outflow and the respective outflow is connected through a steam dome (38a,38b,42a,42b) to a condenser (40a,40b,44a,44b) disposed on the side of the respective low-pressure partial turbine.
