In order to obtain high determination accuracy in a short time in evaluating the appearance quality of milled rice and brown rice, several tens of pieces of milled rice or brown rice are supplied at once instead of supplying milled rice or brown rice by a piece of grain, the pieces of milled rice or brown rice are contained in one sheet of an image, and the appearance quality of each piece of the grain is analyzed in a software manner through computer image processing.
