METHOD FOR MEASURING HANDOVER DELAY OF MOBILE TERMINALS IN MOBILE IPV6 (MIPV6) NETWORKS

A hand over delay time measuring method using data traffic of a mobile terminal in mobile IPv6 network is provided to measure user handover delay time without additional software in the mobile terminal. Traffic is transmitted through IPv6 access router(110) by connecting a mobile terminal(100) to home network(120) before handover. If handover is occurred by moving the mobile terminal to outer network, a handover binding update message is transmitted to the access router 1 through an access router 2(111) of the external network. The access router 1 receives the handover completion message and transmits BA(Binding Acknowledgment) message to the mobile terminal.
