An image message transmitting/receiving system and a control method thereof between an image call terminal and a non-image call terminal by automatically converting an image mail box are provided to convert the image call into an image message in case that the terminal of the other part is the non-image call telephone. A video phone device(100) transmits video call connect signal. A video call connect signal the video phone server(400) is received from the video phone device. The object terminal of the video call connect signal determines the terminal detect which is possible for the video call. The video message corresponding to the video call is received from the video phone device. The stored video message is transmitted in the non-video telephone. It executes the video message received from the image mail-box server and the non-video telephone(200) indicates.
