A kind of method, for being arranged to the more easily identification scene conversion compared with using an existing dispersion value by using weight dispersion in a PMP (personal multimedia player) suitable detection scene conversions in real time. It is used to extract a characteristic value of scene conversion using a dispersion value of weight. Average pixel value is calculated between two consecutive frames from a difference frame surplus. The dispersion of next framework is by calculating being averaged using calculating.
