A method of constructing an ecology river by using a waterway is provided to preserve ecosystem by obtaining predetermined quantity of water without dry season and to purify polluted water by naturally removing contaminants included in water. A method of constructing an ecology river by using a waterway comprises following steps. A housing(10) whose inside is hollow is manufactured of a concrete structure to form a blocking plate at the bottom to be more highly positioned than the bottom of the river. The housing is embedded at the seawall boundary face of the river(1). Artificial fish reef is formed by installing an artificial habitat member(20) for fishes and aquatic organism. The housings are continuously installed to adhere closely to the river and the internal space of the housing is connected to the whole river. Soil(30) is covered on the housing. A water gate is set up along the river in multi-stage.
