A system and a method for enhancing an immersive feeling according to adaptive immersive enhancement prediction are provided to predict an immersive feeling enhancement degree adaptively according to an input image, thereby processing an immersive feeling enhancement component. A foreground/background dividing unit(102) divides an input image into a foreground image and a background image by using color information and frequency information of the input image. An immersive feeling enhancement component calculating unit(103) calculates an immersive feeling enhancement component by using the foreground image and the background image. An immersive feeling enhancement predicting unit(104) predicts an immersive feeling enhancement degree by using the immersive feeling enhancement component. An immersive feeling enhancement processing unit(105) determines whether immersive feeling enhancement is needed according to the immersive feeling enhancement degree. The immersive enhancement processing unit enhances the input image.
