PURPOSE: A system for searching a Korean word in a mobile terminal and a method thereof are provided to preferentially display a word with high user input frequency or selection frequency even though a search result corresponding to a Korean word includes several words.;CONSTITUTION: A system for searching a Korean word in a mobile terminal comprises the following steps. Each syllable of a Korean word is divided into initial sound, middle sound and final sound and the divided sounds are stored in a mixing search DB(S11). An incomplete Korean word including at least one of initial sound, middle sound and final sound per each syllable is inputted from a mobile terminal(S13). A candidate word corresponding to the incomplete Korean word is searched from the mixing search DB(S14). A list of searched word candidates is displayed as a search result(S15).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
