PURPOSE: A developing device for an image forming apparatus and a developer outflow prevention method of the developing device are provided to remove the developer attached to the surface of a developer container while testing the performance of the developing device.;CONSTITUTION: A developing device for an image forming apparatus comprises a developer container, a case, and a magnetic pole angle changing unit. The developer container comprises a plurality of magnetic poles. The case(10) rotates and supports the developer container and stores the developer provided to the developer container.
