A method for analyzing welding distortion of a large shell structure having residual strain as a boundary condition is provided to perform a load input process and a computing process quickly, and output a result for normal stress when the welding distortion of the large shell structure such as a vessel is analyzed. A structure of a thermal processing part is modeled(S101). Unique residual strain is calculated by checking a steel type and a cooling speed of the thermal processing part(S103). A virtual thermal expansion coefficient is calculated by using the unique residual strain(S105). A temperature profile of a node of the thermal processing part is calculated(S109). The virtual thermal expansion coefficient and the temperature profile are applied to modeling(S111). Thermal distortion and stress results are output after a thermal elastic-plastic analysis is performed for the thermal processing part(S113).
