A vegetative revetment block for ecological restoration and the manufacturing method thereof are provided to make quick restoration possible by securing the area of a mat, which is formed by backstitching netting threads located on the bottom of a vegetative revetment block and used for ecological restoration in many folds, to be wider than the area occupied by a concrete skeleton. A vegetative revetment block(11) for ecological restoration comprises a vegetation unit(13) formed with soil(16) made by mixing peat, loess, artificial soil, a seed, adhesives and surface soil on a mat(14) manufactured by backstitching many netting threads, which are manufactured by mixing one or more than two threads selected from natural fiber, synthetic resin and metallic threads to overlap each other, and a concrete skeleton(12) formed by making a concrete skeleton located on the outer edge wider and higher and making a concrete skeleton located on the inside narrower and lower than the concrete skeleton of the outer edge to be strong against an external impact and to heighten durability.
