OXYNITRIDE-BASED PHOSPHORS FOR WHITE LEDS, ITS PREPARATION AND WHITE LEDS MANUFACTURED BY USING IT

摘要

An oxynitride-based phosphor for white LEDs is provided to secure high color purity and color rendering by using 350~480nm of wavelength region as an excitation source. An oxynitride-based red phosphor for white LEDs is represented by the formula 1. In the formula 1, x, y and a satisfy the inequalities which indicate 0.001x0.2, 0=y2 and 0=a=1.3. A method for preparing the oxynitride-based phosphor for white LEDs comprises the following steps of: mixing metal salts containing one or more ions to prepare a raw material sa and heat-treating the prepared raw material salt under a reduction atmosphere at 1300~1500 °C for 4~10 hours.
