A 3-steps holding type apparatus for shaping and joining steel pipes is provided to minimize a hydraulic controlling structure, operate a process of shaping a steel pipe, and connect both shapers steadily. A 3-steps holding type apparatus for shaping and joining steel pipes comprises the following units. Two shapers are arranged to shape a steel pipe(P). The shapers are connected a towing unit(130) and a connecting unit(140). A main body is composed of the following units. A top main body(113) has a semicircular structure. Bottom main bodies(114, 115) combined with both sides of the top main body is opened/closed. The bottom main bodies include a first bottom main body and a second bottom main body.
