PURPOSE: A method for analyzing the red pepper content of a red pepper crude article is provided to measure the red pepper content easily and accurately and discriminate whether artificial pigment is added.;CONSTITUTION: A solvent is mixed with a red pepper reference product and a red pepper crude article of the same quantity as the reference product. The reference product and crude article solutions are respectively by ultrasonic waves and a capsanthin pigment is extracted. The extracted capsanthin pigment is centrifugally separated and cleaned. The cleaned reference product solution is first diluted. The diluted reference product solution and the cleaned crude article solution are secondarily diluted, and measures the absorbed light intensity by using a spectrophotometer.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
