FIELD: chemistry; biochemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and is a method of building (2S,3R,4S)-4-hydroxy-L-isoluecine producing bacteria. The method involves introduction of a DNA fragment, which contains a gene which codes a protein with L-isoleucine dioxygenase activity, into L-isoleucine producing bacteria.
