A method for the production of high temperature - superconducting (hts) volume current conductors having improved properties, which comprises:(i) preparing separate solutions of nitrates of bi, pb, sr, ca and cu on water and then to mix the solutions, in order to form a single solution;(ii) adding silver in the form of a silver nitrate solution based on water to the single solution (i), in order to obtain a resulting nitrate solution;(iii) spray drying of the obtained in step (ii) nitrate solution resulting, in order to obtain a spray dried powder;(iv) calcination of the spray-dried powder, in order to obtain a homogeneous of calcined powder;(v) cold isopressing (cip) of the calcined powder in a large tube with a length of up to 500 mm, an external diameter of up to 150 mm and a wall thickness in the range from 2 to 10 mm;(vi) sintering of the initial in step (v) cold isostatically pressed tube;(vii) grinding of the initial sintered high temperature - superconductor - (hts) - tube in powders and mixing, in order to achieve a homogeneous initial..
