The device has a drive (1) and a slider (5), which are provided for an outer drive side (3), where the slider is realized in such a manner that an effective connection is produced during actuation between the drive side (3) and the drive or an inner drive side (4) and the drive. A drive force of the drive is transferred to the drive side (3) or to the drive side (4), where the two drive sides use a common rotational axis. The slider is manually, electrically, hydraulically, or pneumatically controlled. An independent claim is also included for a method for retrofitting a screwing device.
