The method for feeding gases, vapors, dusts, atomized liquids, or combinations of these substances, entails a partial flow or entire flow of the combustion blast air of a vertical furnace being mixed with technical oxygen to form a jet of combustible medium. Increasing oxygen contents are established from the edge to the core of the jet of combustible medium, a lower fluidic pressure loss is realized, and higher entry speeds of the jet of combustible medium into the charge stock are realized. An independent claim is included for an arrangement of injection nozzle systems on the tuyere stock for combustion blast air supply via the blast air nozzles of a vertical smelting furnace.
