The hybrid vehicle has an internal combustion engine (1), a gear (2) and electrical energy storage (3). An electrical machine (6) is arranged between the combustion engine and the transmission. A drive moment is generated in a drive mode from electrically stored energy and is introduced into the gear. The drive moment is converted into electric energy in a generator mode. A clutch (7) is arranged between the internal combustion engine and the electrical machine. Another electrical machine (10) is provided to the drive compressor (14) and to start the internal combustion engine.
