The medical device (2) comprises a base station (3) with a monitor (4), and a bronchoscope (1) inserted in the lungs (L) of a patient (P) through a mouthpiece (6). A flow channel is provided in the base station, where the flow channel has a hose cable (5) combined with the mouthpiece. The breathing air of the patient is directed through the flow channel. A sensor is arranged in the flow channel for identification of physiological signals from the breathing air, which includes oxygen sensor and carbon dioxide sensor.
