摘要

The method involves providing a component i.e. stator-sided housing section of turbo machine i.e. gas turbine, to be provided with a run-in coating, and providing multiple metallic hollow balls. The metallic hollow balls are arranged on a surface of the component to be provided with the run-in coating. The component is diffusion heat treated in the region of the surface and hollow balls for interconnecting the hollow balls to consolidate the hollow balls and for connecting the hollow balls with the surface of the component for connection of the run-in coating to the component.
